Joy’s background is in corporate America and higher education administration. When Joy was downsized for the third time, she had to find another solution. “I didn’t want to go back to the corporate setting. Every time I would think about returning to a corporate environment, I would physically get sick to my stomach. I was truly tired of being a pawn in someone else’s game,” said Joy.

She was looking for an opportunity where she could fit a business model into her life and her children’s lives.

An individual took 15 to 20 minutes to share the PPLSI marketing plan with Joy and her husband, Mike. They were already satisfied members, so they understood the value of the service. “We saved more than $1,200 within the first six months of having the service, just by being able to ask questions and have a document reviewed,” she explained.

The PPLSI opportunity appeared to be a way to set her own schedule. She decided to market some memberships to see if anyone else saw the same value she did. People said yes, motivating her to move forward. Within five months, she was fully focused on her PPLSI business. She recognized the different avenues of sharing the LegalShield and IDShield memberships, and she focused on employee benefits for companies looking to enhance their employee package.

She has also recognized the value of building a team of associates and leveraging her time and income, and she has become very active in working with insurance professionals.
